Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Senior Lead Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate foundational cloud infrastructure powering our enterprise. You will lead AWS-based platform architecture, enable AI-ready cloud foundations, and drive security, reliability, and innovation across accounts and environments.

You will mentor engineers, shape cloud strategy, and collaborate with AI/ML teams to accelerate delivery while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive cloud engineering experience.
• Experience designing multi-account AWS environments.
• Proficiency in Python and IaC tooling (Terraform/OpenTofu/CF).
• Security, IAM, and compliance knowledge for regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and lifecycle management of enterprise cloud platform infrastructure on AWS.
• Architect AI/ML deployment foundations with scalable compute, storage, and security.
• Apply AI-driven tooling and intelligent operations to platform engineering.
• Develop IaC (Terraform/OpenTofu) for automated provisioning at scale.
• Enforce cloud governance, guardrails, and compliance across accounts.
• Drive observability and reliability initiatives for platform health.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, security, and AI/ML teams.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives in regulated industries.
