Job summary

TIAA is seeking a Senior Lead Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate enterprise cloud infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on scalability, security, and reliability. You will drive AI-enabled cloud foundations, tooling, and automation to accelerate delivery and enable AI/ML deployments across teams.

You will mentor engineers, shape cloud strategy, and partner with DevOps, SRE, security, and AI/ML teams to deliver self-service platform capabilities and transformational cloud initiatives.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles.
• Experience designing and operating multi-account cloud environments using AWS tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise cloud platform infrastructure on AWS.
• Architect cloud foundations optimized for scaled AI/ML deployment.
• Apply AI-driven tooling and intelligent operations to cloud platform engineering.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/OpenTofu/CloudFormation) for automated provisioning.
• Establish and enforce cloud governance, security guardrails, and architectural standards.
• Drive observability, monitoring, and reliability initiatives across the platform.
• Partner with development, DevOps, SRE, security, and AI/ML teams to enable self-service platform capabilities.
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives across workloads.
