Responsibilities

The Senior Cloud Architect supports the Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3) in a hands-on cloud engineering role, primarily focusing on migrating workloads to the cloud. Responsibilities include delivering infrastructure migrations for sensitive information, owning technical and service elements, maintaining documentation, consulting on secure coding, developing familiarity with new tools, and driving the deployment of cloud management platforms. The role involves evaluating cloud services, performing operations, automating processes, and deploying infrastructure as code through CI/CD pipelines.

• Create security-driven Azure enterprise architectures and service-oriented architectures.
• Establish and execute detailed cloud migration project plans.
• Lead cloud consulting engagements, providing technical and business insights.
• Design and implement PaaS/IaaS services, including containerization, database services, and automation.
• Support customer applications with architecture and design expertise.
• Participate in technical reviews to ensure standards are met.
• Educate stakeholders and engineering teams on cloud best practices.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 14+ years of experience; or Bachelor's with 12+ years; or Master's with 10+ years; or PhD with 7+ years, with additional relevant experience considered in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
• IAT Level II Security+ certification.
• 3+ years in Microsoft Azure Government.
• Experience with scalable, highly-available systems, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker, AKS, EKS), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation), and DevOps tools (GitLab, JIRA, Jenkins, etc.).
• Familiarity with DoD IT processes and regulations.

Desired Certifications: SSCP, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CCSP, Cloud+, GCLD, GCSA, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, AWS Solutions Architect.
