Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an Applications Security Engineer for AWS Proactive Security in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on analyzing and improving the security of applications and services, conducting reviews, and driving secure development practices.

You will mentor others, contribute to security automation, and help scale security across multiple teams in a fast-moving cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship work across at least 5 security domains.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience scripting, programming, and security code reviewing.
• Experience troubleshooting systems issues and automating tasks.
• Familiarity with OWASP top 10 and remediation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct application security reviews including architecture, threat modeling, and code reviews.
• Perform mobile and web security reviews and testing.
• Lead projects and research work related to security.
• Provide security training and guidance to internal teams.
• Create security documentation and guidance for teams.
• Automate security workflows and measure security metrics.
• Support recruiting activities and administrative tasks.
