Job summary

Amazon Security is looking for an Application Security Engineer to validate that services and applications meet the highest security standards. You will analyze security, address issues, build automation, and react quickly to new threats.

A successful candidate will mentor junior engineers and contribute as a security thought leader across teams, while guiding security improvements and planning within the AWS IT Security org.

Qualifications

• 3+ years programming in Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .NET, C++ or similar OO language
• 2+ years scripting, programming, and security code review in a non-internship role
• 2+ years troubleshooting systems issues, logs, or automating tasks with CLI
• Bachelor's in STEM or 2+ years IT security experience
• Knowledge of HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• Knowledge of security vulnerabilities and remediations
