Job summary

Primary Talent Partners is seeking a Software Engineer III for a large power and utilities client in Charlotte, NC. The role is a 12-month contract with potential extension and will focus on a cloud-hosted platform across AWS, UI, APIs, and data integrations.

The engineer will troubleshoot across front-end, cloud services, databases, and reporting, and participate in incident response, RCA, and runbook maintenance while coordinating with security teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years supporting enterprise applications in production.
• 3+ years AWS cloud-native/serverless experience.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day production support for a cloud-based access management platform.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and data issues across UI, APIs, messaging, and databases.
• Support AWS Lambda-based services and release/deployment workflows.
• Monitor application health, investigate incidents, and drive root cause analysis (RCA).
• Partner with business stakeholders, vendors, and internal platform/security teams.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and support procedures.
• Support audit/compliance needs and operational reporting.
