Job summary

TekSynap in the DMV area seeks a Senior Systems Engineer - Cloud and Application Integration to design, integrate, test, implement and sustain systems for COMSEC operations and modernization across applications, infrastructure, automation, cloud services, databases and security engineering.

You will develop system designs, support API-based integration, apply NIST 800-53 controls, and coordinate with cybersecurity, software and network teams.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, integrating, testing, implementing and sustaining systems for COMSEC operations.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-53 controls and security lifecycles.
• Proven ability to work across applications, infrastructure, automation, cloud, databases, and security engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop system designs, architectures, and technical solutions.
• Support integration of applications, infrastructure, databases, and cloud services.
• Develop engineering plans, implementation procedures, and technical documentation.
• Support system testing, validation, deployment, and lifecycle sustainment.
• Troubleshoot complex systems and integration issues.
• Support automation and modernization initiatives.
• Work with dev and operations teams to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Apply NIST 800-53 controls and security requirements throughout the lifecycle.
• Support API-based integration and build-automation environments.
