Job summary

North is building the largest suite of credit card processing and merchant services. The Principal Cloud & AIOps Engineer will shape the multi-cloud architecture, automate operations, and ensure security and compliance across the platform.

You will lead AIOps initiatives, implement IaC and CI/CD practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure and observable infrastructure using AI-driven tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
• 7+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience with AWS.
• Strong Linux administration and automation exposure.
• Production IaC/CI/CD experience (Terraform, Ansible).
• Experience implementing AI/ML for observability and anomaly detection.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive cloud architecture, vision, and multi-cloud strategy.
• Design AIOps platforms, automated anomaly detection, and predictive scaling.
• Establish IaC and CI/CD standards for secure software delivery.
• Enforce security and regulatory compliance, including PCI standards.
• Build telemetry pipelines and observability engines.
• Evaluate and deploy AI tooling to improve productivity and cost management.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, Product Engineering, and InfoSec.
