Job summary

Hitachi Digital Services in Dallas, TX is seeking a senior security engineering leader to drive cloud security, DevSecOps, and AI security initiatives across customer engagements. You will translate complex security challenges into scalable architectures and guide teams through design, implementation, and handover.

The role requires hands-on expertise in cloud security, application security, and AI security, with strong leadership and customer-facing communication skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cybersecurity experience with proven success leading engineering teams and delivering large-scale security programs.
• Strong leadership experience mentoring engineers, reviewing technical work, and managing multiple security workstreams simultaneously.
• Deep expertise in Cloud Security, including identity management, workload protection, container security, IaC, and enterprise security architecture.
• Proven experience implementing DevSecOps practices, CI/CD security controls, automated testing, software supply chain security, and remediation workflows.
• Strong background in Application Security, including threat modeling, architecture reviews, security assessments, and API security.
• Hands‑on experience with AI Security, including LLMs, RAG, vector databases, AI agents, MLOps, model deployment, and model lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of AI‑specific threats and controls, including prompt injection, data leakage, insecure retrieval, excessive permissions, unsafe tool execution, monitoring, and security testing.
• Excellent customer‑facing communication skills with experience presenting to executives, architects, security leaders, and engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced cloud or security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, GCP Security Engineer) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer security engagements and provide technical leadership across cloud security, DevSecOps, application security, and AI security initiatives.
• Translate complex security challenges into scalable architectures, implementation roadmaps, and production-ready security controls.
• Manage teams of engineers, oversee technical delivery, and drive successful outcomes from discovery and design through implementation, validation, and operational handover.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security assessments across cloud platforms, applications, APIs, and AI systems.
• Define and implement DevSecOps strategies, security automation, CI/CD security controls, software supply chain protections, and remediation workflows.
• Guide the design and security of AI solutions, including LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, AI agents, and MLOps platforms.
• Manage project risks, dependencies, escalations, and stakeholder communications while balancing security, performance, delivery timelines, and customer requirements.
