Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer 3 to design, deploy, and maintain the organization’s AI infrastructure on AWS/Kubernetes with Terraform. You will translate high-level goals into platform outcomes, mentor engineers, and enforce security practices for production systems.

This role requires excellent communication and a proven leadership ability. Based in Annapolis Junction, MD, you will contribute to the Platform team and help deliver reliable, secure infrastructure for AI

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience as a SWE in large programs or contracts
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Four (4) years of additional SWE experience may substitute for a degree
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform in production
• Experience with security and cloud-native architectures

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes)
• Translate goals into engineering outcomes and platform solutions
• Work in ambiguous spaces and define structured solutions
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards
• Establish security practices for infrastructure and data
