Job summary

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) seeks a Senior Core Infrastructure Engineer to lead design, development, and operation of compute operability solutions, ensuring reliability and performance of OCI’s compute infra. You will work with a team to build massive-scale, distributed cloud services powering global customers.

The role is onsite in our downtown Nashville, TN offices with a 5-day in-office requirement. You will mentor engineers and drive automation across the compute stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Expertise with compute operability including virtualization, containers, or orchestration tech.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, reliable, and high-performance compute operability solutions for OCI.
• Develop tools, frameworks, and automation to enhance operational efficiency of compute infra.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in large-scale distributed systems.
• Drive best practices for system reliability, performance tuning, and operational excellence.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster knowledge sharing.
• Innovate to reduce latency and improve resource utilization.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 service reliability.
