Job summary

Infosys Public Services seeks a Senior Cloud / AI Developer (Java, GCP) to design, build, and maintain Java-based cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform. The role collaborates with DevOps, QA, product management, and security to deliver scalable, secure services with AI-enabled capabilities.

Responsibilities include designing APIs, implementing cloud-native solutions on GCP, ensuring security, observability, and maintainable CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java backend services and APIs.
• Cloud-native design, deployment, and operation on GCP.
• Design/implement RESTful APIs with auth patterns.
• Integrate AI capabilities into applications.
• Secure engineering: encryption, least privilege, audit logging.
• Familiar with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting with observability tools.
• Collaborate across DevOps, QA, product, and security teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Java-based cloud applications.
• Implement cloud-native solutions on GCP for ingestion, processing, storage, and distribution of data.
• Create RESTful APIs with clear versioning and docs.
• Incorporate AI features into use cases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects in cloud apps; perform root-cause analysis.
• Ensure security and compliance through secure coding and data handling.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and IaC for deployments.
• Establish logging, metrics, tracing, alerts, and runbooks.
