Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Lead Closing Officer (or Senior Closing Officer) in Brooklyn, OH to manage end-to-end closing activities for complex commercial real estate loans within KBREC.

The role involves coordinating with clients, attorneys, title and insurance providers, ensuring documentation reflects approved terms and timely closing. You will mentor staff, resolve issues, and drive process improvements while upholding regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Experience with closing process and commercial real estate loan financing including REITs, title/liens, insurance, and related documents.
• Familiarity with Healthcare products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end pre- and post-closing activities for complex loan structures including Healthcare and Institutional Real Estate.
• Provide subject-matter expertise throughout the closing process and review of credit approvals, term sheets, and closing checklists.
• Coordinate timelines, monitor conditions, and ensure pre- and post-closing requirements are satisfied prior to funding and after close.
• Review and analyze loan documentation for conformity with approvals and policy; negotiate client-requested changes with counsel and partners.
• Engage with external parties (legal counsel, title/insurance providers, syndication banks) to complete transactions.
