Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago, IL seeks an Sr. SML to provide direction and operational expertise for Clinical Site Management across assigned studies, serving as the functional study strategy leader from planning to closeout.

You will drive study-level CSM deliverables, coordinate with country leaders, and lead site engagement, monitoring strategies, risk mitigation, and TMF readiness in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in (para)medical or scientific field.
• Minimum 7 years of industry clinical research experience including 2 years of monitoring or project management.
• Minimum 1 year global project management experience.
• Exposure in study initiation through study completion in multiple phases desirable.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze study timelines and assumptions to confirm deliverables are feasible for CSM.
• Support and communicate CSM resource needs with Country Leaders.
• Accountable for study level site monitoring strategy and Site Engagement Strategy.
• Drive site-level activities including site selection, activation, engagement, protocol adherence and close-out.
• Oversee monitoring activities ensuring quality deliverables and milestone adherence.
