Job summary

AbbVie in North Chicago seeks a Senior Clinical Site Management Leader to direct global/area CSM strategy and execution across assigned studies. You will lead site monitors, guide study timelines, and coordinate with the Clinical Study Team to ensure quality, risk management, and timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in clinical research with PM/monitoring experience, Phase II/III exposure, and strong leadership. Excellent English, SOP/ICH knowledge, and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a (para)medical or scientific field.
• 5+ years of industry clinical research experience including 2+ years in monitoring or PM on global studies.
• Experience in Phase II/III and multiple therapeutic areas is highly desired.
• Strong leadership, communication, and influence in a matrix environment.
• Fluent English with excellent planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive study-level/global CSM deliverables by timelines and resources.
• Assess study timelines and assumptions; communicate resource needs to Country Leaders.
• Maintain study-level/area-level timelines across the lifecycle; support milestones.
• Oversee monitoring activities and ensure quality, risk mitigation, and data readiness.
• Lead Site Engagement Strategy and TMF completeness for CSM artifacts.
• Collaborate with other SMLs and stakeholders to manage risks and issues.
• Ensure site closure per Site Closure Plan and inspection readiness activities.
• Provide inputs on CSM documents and study-level deliverables.
