Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a Study Project Manager I in Illinois to lead clinical study operations from planning through execution within a cross-functional team. You will define operational strategies, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure compliance with ICH/GCP and AbbVie policies.

In this role you will collaborate with study teams, vendors, and external stakeholders to drive milestones, mitigate risks, and deliver high-quality study outcomes in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; pharma/clinical research experience valued.
• 6+ years of pharma-related and/or clinical research experience.
• Experience leading cross-functional Clinical Study Teams and managing study budgets.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive operational strategies and deliverables for one or more clinical studies.
• Ensure studies are conducted in compliance with ICH/GCP, global regulations, and AbbVie policies.
• Proactively manages budgets, timelines and study issues to meet objectives.
• Leads the cross-functional Clinical Study Team and coordinates with internal/external stakeholders.
• Mentor Study Management Associates and promote an inclusive, efficient study environment.
