Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Clinical Research Physician to lead early clinical development, specializing in neuroscience drug projects and clinical pharmacology. You will guide first-in-human studies, design pharmacology protocols, and ensure compliance with GCP and regulatory standards while collaborating across functions to advance pipeline assets.

The role involves global trial oversight, biomarker planning, and collaboration with discovery and translational teams. Travel up to 10–15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
• US-trained physicians must have board eligibility or certification.
• Foreign MD/DO may be hired if LCME-compliant.
• At least 10 years of pharmaceutical industry experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead early phase clinical studies and mechanistic research.
• Design and oversee clinical pharmacology studies (ascending dose, DDI, PK/PD).
• Ensure compliance with GCP and local regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for regulatory submission plans.
• Mentor and develop clinical staff and external partners.
