Job summary

UMass Chan Medical School in Massachusetts seeks a Clinical Research Coordinator III to independently perform delegated tasks in human subject research, coordinating regulatory activities and data management for complex protocols related to treatment, ancillary services, and prevention practices.

Responsibilities include obtaining consent, recruiting, scheduling visits, maintaining regulatory documentation, training staff, developing data collection tools, grant support, and ensuring adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific or health-related field is required or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of related experience in clinical research or similar setting.
• Ability to travel off-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain consent of research participants per IRB protocols and HIPAA requirements.
• Assist with recruiting, screening, selecting, maintaining and terminating study subjects for multiple protocols.
• Identify, schedule and conduct participant study visits, tests, and follow-up calls.
• Ensure regulatory documentation is accurate, complete, and accessible to investigators and monitors.
• Direct the activities of research support staff and assist with staff training.
• Develop study-related data collection tools and documentation such as questionnaires and checklists.
• Contribute to grant preparation, protocol feasibility, and data presentation activities.
• Assist with clinical research billing review within required timeframes.
• Conduct preliminary quality assurance reviews of study data.
• Present study status reports on assigned projects.
• Maintain and track study-related information in the data management system.
• Provide literature summaries to support the study team and PIs.
