Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking an Experienced Clinical Research Associate to work regionally across the US. The role involves site qualification through close-out visits, ensuring regulatory and GCP compliance, and supporting site staff with data capture and audit readiness.

The position requires up to 75% travel, strong communication skills, and knowledge of GCP guidelines. You will collaborate with sponsors, sites, and cross-functional teams to drive study progress and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or RN in a related field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice/ICH Guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Must demonstrate good computer skills and be able to embrace new technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage required travel of up to 75% on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs site qualification, site initiation, interim monitoring, site management activities and close-out visits (performed on-site or remotely) ensuring regulatory, ICH-GCP and/or Good Pharmacoepidemiology Practice (GPP) and protocol compliance.
• Verifies the process of obtaining informed consent has been adequately performed and documented for each subject/patient.
• Per the CMP/SMP: Assesses site processes. Conducts Source Document Review and verifies CRF data accuracy.
• May perform investigational product (IP) inventory, reconciliation and reviews storage and security.
• Routinely reviews the Investigator Site File (ISF) for accuracy, timeliness and completeness.
• Documents activities via letters, reports, logs; supports recruitment, retention and data tracking.
• For assigned activities, understands project scope, budgets, and timelines; manages site-level activities and communication.
• May act as primary liaison with study site personnel and ensure training/compliance.
• Prepares for Investigator Meetings and sponsor meetings; participates in training sessions.
• Provides guidance towards audit readiness and supports required follow-up actions.
• Maintains knowledge of ICH/GCP guidelines and completes required training.
• Site support through the study lifecycle including chart abstraction and collaboration with sponsor affiliates.
