Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Clinical Project Leader III to oversee large global cardiovascular and metabolic trials from startup through closeout. The role partners with sponsors, investigators, vendors, and cross-functional teams to keep studies on schedule, within scope, and compliant with GCP and FDA regulations.

The position is fully remote with preference for candidates in the Eastern Time Zone, offering mentorship, leadership opportunities, and exposure to diabetes, obesity, and heart disease

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading Phase II–IV clinical trials.
• Bachelor's degree in a life sciences field.
• Experience in CROs with multi-site global trials.
• Strong knowledge of GCP and FDA regulations.
• Eastern Time Zone work preference.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of Phase II–IV trials from startup to closeout.
• Ensure studies stay on schedule and within scope.
• Coordinate activities among sponsors, sites, investigators, vendors and internal teams.
• Identify risks and develop practical solutions.
• Serve as primary client-facing contact with sponsors.
• Lead study meetings and provide timeline updates.
• Oversee site activation, regulatory submissions and readiness.
• Mentor junior Project Leaders.
• Maintain regulatory and trial management system oversight.
• Support protocol amendments and process improvements.
