Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Clinical Process Engineer to lead the design, optimization, and sustainment of clinical business processes across multiple domains.

The role enables operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and scalable innovation within Clinical Development Operations. You will translate complex challenges into fit-for-purpose process solutions, influence without authority, and shape how process engineering work gets done across the function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, business, or a related field.
• Lean Six Sigma certification required; Green Belt or Black Belt preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in process design, process engineering, and/or process improvement in a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of clinical development operations and regulatory expectations.
• Proven ability to lead multi-stakeholder workshops and communicate with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end process design and optimization across clinical domains or workstreams.
• Advise BPOs and functional leaders on process strategy and design decisions.
• Develop and govern process maps, SOP content, and documentation standards.
• Conduct current-state assessments and multi-variable analyses to surface issues.
• Design and lead complex process design workshops across multi-stakeholder environments.
