Job summary

Premera is seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to lead trend management, affordability strategy, and clinical program development for high-impact medications. This critical role supports pharmacy savings, member affordability, and cross-functional product development.

The Sr . Clinical Pharmacist researches, develops, implements, and communicates to internal and external stakeholders, and manages pharmacy initiatives, programs and services that ensure clinically appropriate and cost-effective

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with PharmD or equivalent, licensed in the US.
• 4+ years in clinical program development or management.
• Experience in managed care pharmacy is preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop clinical programs to manage cost and utilization of high-impact meds.
• Monitor utilization and cost trends under pharmacy/medical benefits.
• Design affordability improvement programs with cross-functional teams.
• Manage vendor relationships and program performance.
• Collaborate with Rx Product Management on pricing and marketing.
• Lead pilots and external benchmarking activities.
• Prepare position statements and outcomes reports.
• Maintain knowledge of market intelligence and vendor capabilities.
• Create trend reports and inform pharmacy strategies.
