Job summary

Premera seeks a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to lead trend management, affordability strategy, and clinical program development for high-impact medications.

This role supports pharmacy savings, member affordability, and cross-functional product development across the organization. The ideal candidate has extensive clinical program leadership experience within a managed care setting and can drive initiatives with vendors, care management, and Rx product teams.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with an advanced degree or six years of work experience.
• Four years of clinical program development, management or consultation in a managed care setting.
• Experience in managed care pharmacy.
• Experience with project management.
• Health Plan claims analytics experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing; intermediate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
• Familiarity with local and regional health care issues.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops, implements, and communicates pharmacy initiatives and programs.
• Develop clinical programs and products to manage cost and utilization trends.
• Monitor utilization and cost trends of high impact medications.
• Develop and measure affordability improvement programs with cross-functional collaboration.
• Manage relationships with service vendors and monitor program performance.
• Collaborate with Rx Product Manager(s) on pricing, reporting, and program maintenance.
• Design and execute high impact drug management strategies with cross-functional teams.
• Create trend and pipeline reports and insights for pharmacy strategies.
