Job summary

Medica is a nonprofit health plan serving communities across multiple states. The Clinical Pharmacist will work with internal and external stakeholders to advance pharmacy strategy, utilization management, and regulatory compliance.

The role involves data analysis, formulary execution with PBMs, and cross-functional collaboration to improve clinical and financial outcomes. This on-site position requires an active Pharmacist license, a PharmD preferred or equivalent experience, and at least seven

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD or equivalent experience in related field.
• Active Pharmacist license required.
• 7+ years of related pharmacy experience beyond degree.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pharmacy utilization, spend, and trend performance; identify key cost drivers and opportunities across the pharmacy benefit.
• Partner with Analytics and business stakeholders to conduct pharmacy spend and trend analysis, forecasting and insights.
• Develop evidence-based strategies to mitigate adverse pharmacy trends and improve clinical and financial performance.
• Serve as a clinical pharmacy subject matter expert and translate data into clear recommendations for decision makers.
• Oversee regulatory, compliance activities and required reporting, audits, and documentation.
