Job summary

Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Float Pool. This full-time, day-shift position covers 72 hours per pay period and supports multiple units with flexible assignments.

You will provide professional nursing care, coordinate plans with other disciplines, and contribute to quality improvement while supervising staff and ensuring patient-family involvement.

Qualifications

• Must have Tennessee State RN licensure and CPR.
• Minimum of three (3) years professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Correlates patient history and support systems within hospital care.
• Assesses needs of patient and family.
• Develops and initiates plan of care with patient and family.
• Recommends interventions and evaluates plan of care.
• Demonstrates clinical expertise to resolve complex patient/physician problems without supervision.
• Leads process improvement initiatives within the unit.
• Precepts new employees and students; participates in training and orientation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
