Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System in Rutherfordton, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Float Pool to provide cross-unit coverage across ICU, ED, and Med Surg/Tele. You will assess, plan, and document care, ensuring safe patient experiences and smooth unit transitions.

Qualifications

• Current North Carolina RN license.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1-3 years' recent ICU, ED, and Med Surg/Tele experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Completes initial and ongoing assessments and plans patient care.
• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition for the care team, physicians, and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age and condition.
