Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Senior Clinical Admin Nurse to support navigation of the health care system for UMR members and their families. The role involves coordination with clinicians, caregivers, and external partners to improve care and access.

This position offers remote work from anywhere in the U.S. The candidate will manage pre-admission counseling, discharge planning, and adverse determinations, with strong documentation and communication skills essential for success in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN compact license.
• 4+ years of acute nursing experience.
• 2+ years of case management experience.
• Previous med-surg, critical care and/or ER experience.
• Basic computer proficiency (ie MS Word, Outlook).
• Proven ability to function independently and responsibly with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with tools and educational support to navigate the health care system.
• Assist members with adverse determinations and the appeal process.
• Educate members on UMR internet wellness tools.
• Perform outreach for pre-admission counseling and discharge planning.
• Track activities and document for customer reporting.
• Accept referrals and coordinate necessary medical and community services.
