Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Senior Clinical Admin Nurse to provide individualized support to UMR members and their families, guiding them through the health care system and coordinating care with clinical teams. The position requires RN licensure, 4+ years of acute nursing, and 2+ years in case management, plus strong communication and independent work capabilities.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license.
• 4+ years of acute nursing experience.
• 2+ years of case management experience.
• Previous med-surg, critical care and/or ER experience.
• Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Outlook).
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with tools and educational support to navigate the health care system and manage health concerns.
• Assist members with adverse determinations, including the appeal process.
• Teach members to navigate UMR online wellness tools and resources.
• Outreach to membership for pre-admission counseling.
• Discharge planning to membership and caretakers.
• Document activities to generate customer reporting.
• Coordinate medical care and community referrals as needed.
• Comply with policies and documentation standards.
