Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is seeking a Family Advocate Support CARE - Senior Clinical Admin Nurse to assist UMR CARE Clinical membership and families in navigating the health care system. This role emphasizes coordination with multiple partners, education, and pre-admission/discharge planning.

The position requires a current RN license, 2+ years in acute and behavioral health nursing, Medicaid waiver experience, and the ability to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in good standing.
• Ability to obtain additional licenses as required.
• 2+ years of acute nursing experience.
• 2+ years of behavioral health nursing experience.
• 2+ years of Medicaid waiver experience.
• Med-surg, critical care and/or ER experience.
• Proven ability to function independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency with MS Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Provide members with tools, education, and support to navigate the health care system effectively.
• Assist with adverse determinations, including the appeals process.
• Educate members on using UMR wellness resources and tools.
• Conduct member outreach for pre-admission counseling and discharge planning.
• Track activities and maintain documentation for reporting.
