Job summary

Jobot is seeking a dedicated Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) for a permanent position at a hospital system in California. The role involves performing a wide range of laboratory tests, ensuring accuracy through strict quality control, and supporting clinical teams to improve patient outcomes.

Qualified applicants will hold a CLS certification, a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, and at least five years of hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Current and valid Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) certification.
• Minimum of five years of experience as a CLS, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Extensive knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Proficiency in using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize workload.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong team player with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of laboratory tests and procedures with independent judgment.
• Ensure accuracy and reliability of test results through rigorous quality control.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting test performance or reporting.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and implement preventive maintenance.
• Assist in development and validation of new test methods.
• Evaluate new equipment and reagents.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Train and supervise junior laboratory personnel.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers about procedures and results.
