Job summary

Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Senior Technologist to join our team. The role focuses on ensuring specimen quality, performing routine and complex lab procedures, and maintaining instrument performance to deliver accurate test results.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting instrumentation, maintaining quality controls, and collaborating with the team to support high‑volume workflows and patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary.
• Assist with processing of specimens when needed.
