Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine

We are assisting a prestigious NHS Trust in recruiting a Senior Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine, available on either a substantive or NHS fixed-term basis for 12 months, to join their successful Medicine department.

The Trust is one of the largest in the country, serving a population of 1.2 million across multiple acute hospital sites in East of England. They are committed to providing excellent health services, with a focus on innovation and high performance. With approximately 15,000 staff, the Trust aims to deliver exceptional local and specialist services, improving health and wellbeing while fostering a vibrant environment for staff development and career growth.

The responsibilities of the successful candidate include:

1. Assist in providing an effective emergency medicine service.
2. Deliver emergency treatment to patients in the Emergency Department and liaise with relevant specialties.
3. Guide and support junior doctors in emergency medicine.
4. Coordinate with nursing staff and organise the department's smooth operation, ensuring adherence to national targets.
5. Lead efforts to achieve the ED 4-hour target without compromising patient care quality.
6. Consult with senior colleagues for clinical and administrative advice as needed.
