Job summary

Imperative Care in Campbell, CA is seeking a Sr Clinical Engineer for a full-time, on-site role. You will gather clinical data, define specifications, and support pre-clinical testing for our vascular and stroke products, interfacing with clinicians and cross-functional colleagues.

You will drive design verification, quality systems compliance, and regulatory activities (FDA QSR, ISO 13485), mentoring teammates and translating customer input into design inputs.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related discipline and 2+ years of experience in novel product development in medical devices.
• Experience in vascular/neurovascular interventions or surgical robotics.
• Knowledge of FDA QSR, ISO 13485 and related regulatory standards.
• Familiarity with Design control procedures and requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Gather clinical or user data to inform definition, specification, design and testing of vascular/stroke products.
• Interact with clinical customers and cross functional internal teams; lead preclinical testing and training.
• Create and execute design verification/testing plans and ensure documentation aligns with procedures and QMS.
• Ensure products meet global regulatory requirements through development and testing.
• Mentor new team members; support lab activities and inventory; assist with market and customer inputs.
• Translate customer input into design input requirements; drive pre-clinical testing completion.
