Qualifications

• EPIC EHR experience required.
• Minimum 5 years as Clinical Documentation Specialist in acute care.
• CDI Subject matter expert for ALL PAYORS across DRG groups.
• Familiarity with MS-DRG, APR-DRG, AP-DRG and Elixhauser coding variables.

Responsibilities

• Ensure overall quality and completeness of medical records.
• Document for all payor groups and DRGs including MS, AP, and APR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff and coding staff to support appropriate reimbursement and clinical severity.
• Support timely, accurate documentation used for measuring hospital outcomes.
• Educate care team members on CDI processes and coding changes.
