Job summary

Johns Hopkins Medicine is seeking a Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) professional to lead and support CDI initiatives for pediatric units. This full-time, day-shift role offers fully remote work and collaboration with physicians, nurses, coders, IT, and leadership to optimize EHR use.

The position requires CCDS or CDIP certification, nursing or PA licensure as applicable, and several years of CDI or acute care experience.

Qualifications

• CCDS or CDIP certification is required.
• RN/APRN license with multi-state compact or state license where assigned.
• PA license and board certification by NCCPA required.
• RHIT/RHIA certification and CCS credential required.

Responsibilities

• Lead chart reviews and clinical validation.
• Support CDI initiatives to improve documentation quality and compliance.
• Track and report data to measure project success.
• Provide education to staff and providers; assist with policy development.
• Provide coverage during high-demand periods.
