MedStar Health seeks a registered dietitian to provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy to inpatients with diverse conditions. You will perform nutrition assessments, education, and nutrition-support recommendations in line with applicable laws, regulations, and MedStar policies.

Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to formulate care plans, participate in rounds, and contribute to professional development, education materials, and QAPI projects as directed.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition Science with accredited dietetic internship.
• Master’s degree required if completed after January 1, 2024.
• 5–7 years of progressive clinical nutrition experience.
• 3–4 years with a specialty certification recognized by AND/CDR preferred.
• Registered Dietitian (CDR) and licensure requirements upon hire.
• CNSC or equivalent certification preferred.

Mansioni

• Consult with physicians and allied professionals on nutritional status and diet plans.
• Develop nutrition assessment, evaluation, and follow-up plans for at-risk patients.
• Support in/outpatient diet rationale for self-management.
• Participate in rounds and cross-cover as needed; engage in ongoing education.
• Review current literature and present at Journal Club; share one case study annually.
• Attend meetings and document in the CDP; pursue professional development.
• Lead or contribute to education materials, policy changes, or QAPI projects.
• Provide relief for in/outpatient services and maintain credentials and licensure.
