Job summary

GSK in the United States (Waltham, MA) seeks an Associate Director Clinical Development Project Manager to lead Clinical Matrix Teams, owning charters, scope, kickoff and governance. You will manage risk, RAID logs, dashboards and status reports, coordinating with CMT functional leads and the PPM organization to standardize plans and reporting across programs in a matrix life sciences setting.

Required: 5+ years PM experience in pharma/biotech; proficiency with MS Project, Planisware,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in a matrix team environment, ideally within pharmaceutical/biotech R&D or clinical development.
• Experience building and maintaining core PM artifacts, including charters, scope statements, WBS, RACI matrices, and RAID/risk logs.
• Experience using established PM planning and reporting tools (e.g., MS Project, Planisware, Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau).
• Experience facilitating governance and project team meetings, and preparing materials for steering committee / governance review.
• Experience producing status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries for senior stakeholders.
• Experience supporting resource planning, budget tracking, and financial variance reporting on complex, multi-month projects.

Responsibilities

• Own the Project Charter and Scope Statement for the CMT and lead the Project Kickoff Deck.
• Build and maintain Stakeholder Register, Communication Plan, and Governance Calendar.
• Create and maintain the CMT plan with milestones and critical-path activities.
• Own the RACI Matrix and Governance Framework across functional leads.
• Maintain Risk Log, RAID, Issue Log, and Dependency Tracker; escalate risks and issues.
• Produce recurring Status Reports and Project Dashboard for leadership.
• Maintain Requirements/Deliverables Log, Decision Log, Action Item Tracker, Milestone Tracker.
• Develop Quality/Test Plan and Compliance Checklist; maintain Change Log.
