Job summary

Veeva Systems, a leading SaaS provider for life sciences, seeks a Senior Migration Consultant to join the Vault CDMS migration team. In a full-time, customer-facing role, you will lead migrations from legacy systems such as Medidata Rave and Oracle InForm to Vault CDMS, handling extremely large clinical datasets.

You will partner with Sponsors and CROs, develop validation scripts and SQL listings, and mentor junior team members while contributing to reusable tools and templates.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with EDC clinical software covering end-to-end data management.
• Solid understanding of clinical trial processes, data collection and review.
• Programming experience in SAS, R, Python or SQL; able to learn new SQL-based languages.
• Background in life sciences with experience across project assessment, planning, development and implementation.
• Customer-facing experience in software professional services or consulting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Sponsors and CROs to interpret legacy database structures and data mapping.
• Perform data transformation, mapping, and script validation on large clinical datasets.
• Lead end-to-end data migration delivery across active trials per project plan.
• Develop and configure validation scripts and SQL-based listings for data integrity.
• Provide feedback to Vault CDMS & DQS product teams based on migration challenges.
• Contribute to reusable migration tools, data mapping templates, and mentor junior team members.
