Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain data pipelines for clinical and medical device data, leveraging Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and AWS to ingest, transform, and prepare analytics-ready datasets. You will collaborate with Biostatistics and cross-functional teams to understand analytical requirements and deliver high-quality data assets.

The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and data warehousing experience, plus Python and Power BI proficiency, supporting data management

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/DE/Statistics or related field with 4 years of clinical data eng/analytics experience, or 2 years with a master’s degree.
Strong SQL skills with complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization.
Hands-on data warehousing experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, or Synapse.
Proficiency in Python (pandas, NumPy) and data visualization libraries; Power BI experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines, programs, and workflows for clinical and medical device data.
Build and support ETL/ELT solutions using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and AWS for diverse data formats.
Prepare high-quality, analysis-ready datasets for statistical analysis and reporting.
Collaborate with Biostatistics, study teams, and cross-functional groups to meet analytical needs.
Ensure data quality, address inconsistencies, and support data management activities.
