Job summary

Texas Oncology in Dallas Presbyterian is seeking a Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a full-time FLOAT position with Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm, no weekends, call or major holidays.

Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care per standards, supports quality initiatives, and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care for patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• RN license and current registration in practicing state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Oncology experience strongly preferred; entry level 0–3 years; Level II 3+ years; Level Senior 5+ years incl. oncology.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care.
• Assess health status and medical history from patient interviews.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching materials.
• Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
• Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
• Manage medication refill requests and document in patient chart.
• Schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostics, and future appointments.
