Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking an administrative professional to support clinical operations at 15 Parkman Street, Boston. You will manage patient appointments, check-in and check-out, triage routine inquiries, and ensure accurate EPIC documentation.

In this onsite, 40-hour-per-week role, you’ll assist with patient billing forms, scanning to medical records, and serve as a Super User for scheduling, registration and billing systems.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 3–5 years of office experience.
  • Strong MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage time effectively and communicate clearly in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient visits and manage check-in/check-out duties.
  • Assist callers, triage inquiries, and provide routine information.

Job Summary

Performs administrative functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service and practice operations. Performs administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties (performs all duties of the other levels at highest proficiency level). Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records. Assist callers with routine inquiries and triage matters appropriately. Process patient billing forms and scan documents to patient medical record (EPIC). Acts as "Super User" for scheduling, registration and billing systems. Provides assistance and training to others in these areas. May perform more complex or specialized functions (i.e. surgical scheduling, schedule changes/blocking) at more advanced competency level. Handles, screens and/or takes messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results. Additional responsibilities as assigned.

    • Office experience 3-5 years required.

    • Strong technology and MS Office skills
    • Advanced Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of office operations and standards and understanding of office procedures, including filing, copying, scanning, printing, and faxing.
    • Ability to use the phone system, manage more non-routine phone calls, and solve routine issues as appropriate.
    • Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience and Talking to others to convey information effectively.
    • Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents, corresponding and communicating with others clearly and effectively (including composing/editing e-mails, memos, and letters), and taking complete and accurate messages.
    • Managing one's own time and the time of others.
    • Well-organized and good time management skills to manage multiple tasks effectively, follow established protocols, and work within systems.
    • Ability to proofread and edit written documents.
