Job summary

U.S. Energy Foundation is seeking a Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships to lead donor relations and funder engagement nationwide.

You will oversee a portfolio of funders, coordinate cross-team fundraising efforts, and build pipelines with external partners while collaborating on donor-focused materials and events. The role involves coordinating with program colleagues, attending to funder priorities, and contributing to a climate-focused philanthropic strategy in a remote-first environment

Qualifications

• Demonstrated fundraising, partnerships, and relationship management experience in nonprofit, foundation, or business settings.
• Experience working with a diverse set of donors or partners.
• Strong communication and collaboration with people from diverse backgrounds and high-profile institutions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently with various stakeholders and priorities.
• Knowledge of climate change or clean energy issues is desirable.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace.
• Proven oral and written communication skills.
• Technical skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; familiarity with Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, and Salesforce preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate philanthropic support by managing an existing portfolio of funders and prospects.
• Coordinate quarterly fundraising check-ins across teams and track action items.
• Build and manage an active donor pipeline with external consultants.
• Maintain sophisticated relationships with partners through meetings, convenings, and activities.
• Prepare background research for meetings and assist in funder-related projects.
• Collaborate on funder events, invitations, RSVPs, and related materials.
• Create and edit funder-facing collateral with SP Communications team.
• Support organizational processes by integrating SP team initiatives and systems.
