About the Role:

First Merchants is seeking a Senior Customer Relationship Representative to join our team! This position is responsible for delivering high-quality customer service by accurately completing bank transactions, opening accounts, processing loan applications, and identifying products and services to meet clients' financial needs. The role involves meeting or exceeding sales goals and ensuring service metrics align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Providing excellent customer service on banking matters, including transactions, account openings, and loan processing.
  2. Assisting with opening/closing the banking center, conducting audits, and balancing.
  3. Assessing clients' financial positions to identify relationship opportunities and utilizing the Gold Standard for Service.
  4. Achieving individual and team sales targets to meet scorecard goals.
  5. Using CRM and guided conversations to deepen client relationships and recommend products.
  6. Using digital tools to educate clients and enroll them in electronic banking during account opening.
  7. Supporting partnership opportunities like merchant services, treasury management, mortgages, and investments.
  8. Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures in banking operations.
Minimum qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or GED.
  2. At least 1 year of banking, sales, or related experience, with 6 months in product/service sales.
  3. Must meet S.A.F.E Act registration requirements via NMLS within three months of hire.
  4. Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
  5. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  6. In-depth knowledge of bank products/services.
Preferred qualifications:
  1. Prior banking experience.
  2. Ability to sell and cross-sell bank products and services.
