Job description

Enterprise marketing engagements don't fail because the strategy is wrong — they fail because nobody's holding the relationships together and keeping them focused while a dozen moving pieces run in parallel. That's the gap this role fills.

We have an opportunity for a person with demonstrable experience walking into complex, multi-stakeholder client organizations — the kind where every conversation has three audiences and a decision that looked settled last week isn't settled this week — and gain the client trust to help them stay informed and navigate change.

What You’ll Do
Relationship + Influence
  • Own the relationship on enterprise marketing services engagements end-to-end — you're the person the client calls, not a rotating cast of characters
  • Navigate complex, politically layered client organizations, building multi-threaded relationships across marketing, data, IT, and the C-suite
  • Turn ambiguous, loosely scoped engagements into structured plans your internal team can execute against
  • Serve as the voice of the client internally and the voice of Block+Tackle externally
Engagement Health
  • Coordinate across Block+Tackle's technical and subject-matter experts — data, MarTech, CX, and MarOps
  • Manage a high volume of concurrent moving pieces across active engagements while staying client-facing and strategic, not buried in execution
  • Run monthly business reviews and ongoing senior-stakeholder alignment
  • Flag opportunities for workflow automation, AI enablement, governance, and measurement that create meaningful impact for the client, in partnership with delivery and account leadership
  • Support proposal and RFP development and executive-level presentations
What You Bring

This role requires both consulting experience and enterprise marketing experience — not one or the other. If your background is client-side marketing without a consulting/agency backdrop, or consulting without a marketing focus, this isn't the right fit. We need someone who's done both at once: sold into and managed enterprise marketing engagements from the consulting/services side.

Must-haves:
  • Consulting or professional-services experience — you've worked inside a consultancy or agency, managing client engagements as your actual job, not as an internal function
  • Enterprise marketing experience — you've sold into and managed enterprise marketing engagements, not just run campaigns
  • Experience managing services delivery into enterprise marketing organizations, distinct from product or software implementation work
  • A track record operating inside complex, high-stakes client environments with many internal and external stakeholders — politics is part of the job, not a distraction from it
  • Strong relationship-management instincts and genuine trusted-advisor presence with clients
  • Comfort with ambiguity — you can take a loosely defined engagement and give it structure without waiting to be told how
Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience with Workfront, AEM, Adobe Experience Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other enterprise marketing platforms
  • Experience in travel, hospitality, CPG, retail, banking/finance, healthcare, or other heavily matrixed and compliance demanding enterprise verticals
  • Experience with AI-driven workflow or automation enablement
  • Time at a boutique or mid-size consultancy — you know how to operate without a giant support structure
  • Strong storytelling and deck-writing skills
The Fine Print
  • No visa sponsorship available for this position
  • Hybrid, Atlanta-based (required)
  • Competitive base plus performance bonus tied to client retention and satisfaction
Why Block+Tackle

We're a MarTech consultancy that exists because marketing and data teams usually don't talk to each other well enough, and brilliant ideas die in that gap. We're battle-tested in both languages, and we build the bridge — across Ecosystem Architecture, Marketing Sciences, Experience Operations, and Customer Strategy — that turns "that's impossible" into implemented working systems. We work with brands like Home Depot, Marriott, Delta Air Lines which means the stakes are real and so are the stakeholders. It's a high-ownership, low-bureaucracy environment — we've been profitable and client-focused since day one, with no VC pressure to grow at all costs. We don't do generic. We don't do theoretical. We get in the trenches with our clients and we don't leave until the mission's accomplished.
