Job summary

The AES Corporation is seeking a Clean Energy Tax Manager of Reporting and Analytics to lead the US federal and state income tax compliance for its Clean Energy development and operating businesses. The role requires collaboration with tax and non-tax colleagues and a focus on data analytics and transaction support.

You will engage in tax planning, modeling, and analysis to optimize financial and cash taxes, while coordinating with investors and the broader tax team under the Senior Manager, US

Qualifications

• Strong partnership tax technical and compliance expertise and interest to support M&A and renewable investment transactions.
• Experience with maintaining partner tax capital accounts, taxable income, outside tax basis and adjustments such as section 704(c) and 743.
• Experience managing an outsourced compliance provider and in-house team; strong stakeholder management to meet investor needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and review of US federal/state tax compliance for Clean Energy business; provide investor information and ASC740 reporting.
• Support tax planning and business transactions, including analysis of data for improved cash taxes and investment decisions.
• Contribute to quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting; coordinate state/local grants and incentives and tax positions.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff within the US Business Tax Team.
