Great American Insurance Group’s Trucking Division in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Claims Representative to join our Physical Damage team. This on-site role requires 1–3 years of claims experience and offers a hybrid schedule with core in‑office days Tuesday–Thursday and one remote day as needed.

You will investigate and maintain claims, review coverage and liability, and ensure timely payments while complying with laws and company policies. Benefits are provided for full‑time and part‑time staff.

Qualifications

• Auto Physical Damage experience a plus.

Great American’s Trucking Division is a leading provider of insurance products for the long-haul trucking industry and specializes in service to Owner-Operators. Our focus on trucking started in the early 1990s with the development of a trucking Physical Damage policy. Since then, it has evolved to include a complete suite of products and services supporting the independent contractor including Physical Damage, Non-Trucking Liability, Occupational Accident, Contingent Liability, our signature Rig Ready® repair service, Deductible Buyback and TruXpro®, which includes downtime and rental reimbursement.

The Trucking Division is looking for a Claims Representative to join the Physical Damage team in our Cincinnati, OH office.

Essential Responsibilities

• Investigates and maintains claims.
• Reviews and evaluates coverage and/or liability.
• Secures and analyzes necessary information (i.e., reports, policies, appraisals, releases, statements, records, or other documents) in the investigation of claims.
• May participate in affecting settlements/reserves within prescribed limits; submits recommendations to supervisor on cases exceeding personal authority.
• Ensure that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statutes, regulations and other legal requirements, and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed.
• Conveys information (coverage, decision, outcomes, etc.) to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Generally, 1 to 3 years of claims experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Auto Physical Damage experience is a plus
• Body Shop experience is a plus
