Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in handling medical malpractice or heavy bodily injury claims.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Broad knowledge of medicine and familiarity with legal concepts and trends in litigation.
• Knowledge of insurance contracts, especially medical malpractice and general liability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee claim staff to ensure timely file handling and reserves.
• Evaluate liabilities, damages, and settlements within authority.
• Monitor defense counsel performance for cost-effective case disposition.
• Develop and enforce claims policies and procedures.
• Lead departmental planning and staff performance reviews.
