Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Claims Examiner - Workers Compensation Team Lead to supervise multiple teams of examiners and support staff for clients in California or Nevada. You will monitor workloads, provide training, and offer direction on examiner reports and claim adjudication.

You will partner with a global company known for service, develop teams, and leverage Sedgwick’s network to improve outcomes. A licensing requirement applies to the jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• 5 years of claims management experience or equivalent education/experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification related to the line of business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyses and processes complex or technically difficult workers compensation claims.
• Manages the litigation process; ensures timely and cost-effective resolution.
• Coordinates vendor referrals for additional investigation or litigation management.
• Leads team meetings and assigns accountability for follow-up items.
• Gathers compliance information for team meetings and supports hiring manager.
• May supervise up to three direct reports.
