Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services seeks a senior claims professional to manage medium to large, complex claims with substantial direct client contact. You will coordinate with brokers, clients, adjusters and counsel to advance settlements and ensure coverage interpretations align with policy language.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree and a valid Fire & Casualty Broker license, with 10+ years of brokerage or carrier experience. CPCU/AICPU/ARM credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ten (10) or more years related work experience in brokerage or carrier.
• In-depth knowledge of commonly encountered P&C insurance coverage and risk management concepts.
• Valid Fire and Casualty Broker - Agent license required.
• CPCU preferred; AICPU preferred; ARM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages claims status and prompts parties to take the next step, including prepayment and information gathering.
• Partners with client legal counsel on coverage, claims and settlement strategy.
• Manages and oversees medium to large, complex claims.
• Maintains claims data in the database and prepares information for underwriting or client review.
• Prepares coverage arguments and positions as client advocate.
• Provides coverage interpretation for large property and casualty claims.
• Prepares and analyzes loss valuations.
• Attends claims meetings with clients, carriers, legal counsel and adjusters.
• Keeps records of all work and follows up with clients.
