Job summary

MSIG USA, a leading US subsidiary of MS&AD Insurance Group, seeks a Senior Claims Advisor for Political Risk, Credit and Surety. The role provides expert claims guidance, risk oversight, and policy interpretation across domestic and international transactions.

You will partner with underwriting, legal counsel, and clients to identify mitigating actions and ensure timely, fair outcomes while managing watch-lists and exposures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctor or related advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in commercial insurance claims, underwriting, legal practice, credit risk, political risk, surety or related specialty.

Responsibilities

• Acts as the dedicated claims advisor for Political Risk, Credit and Surety matters from notice to resolution.
• Maintains watch lists for insured transactions and emerging risk indicators.
• Reviews policy forms and endorsements for coverage implications and timing requirements.
• Partners with clients, brokers and underwriting teams to identify actions to prevent or mitigate losses.
